We love going to Hong Kong in December. The Christmas lights and decorations are all up. Weather is just right, comfortably cool to walk around. |
The Mira Hotel, formerly the Miramar Hotel, along Nathan Road in Tsimshatsui (TST).
|
The Mira's Christmas color motif this year is silver and blue. Last year's was silver and purple.
|
The king-sized bed and pillows are very comfy. And for some modesty in the bathroom, there are electric privacy blinds that come down. |
We don't bother bringing basic toiletries since the hotel provides them. And they are replenished every day even the toothbrush and shaver!
|
First thing we do as soon as we drop our bags off: visit our favorite bakeshop! Guess what's inside?
|
Egg tarts and pork pies! They are so good! |
Art work at the entrance to the Central-Mid-levels escalators. |
This is our nth visit to Hong Kong but our first time to visit the Central-Mid-level escalators. These series of escalators is the longest outdoor covered escalator/walkalator in the world. |
Inside the escalators. Notice it only goes one way. |
Wonderful old building along the escalators. |
Quite a hike going back down to Central. |
There are walking tour markers on the sidewalks of Hong Kong that you can follow. |
One of several pubs and bars in Central. |
I-Square's Ferrero Rocher Christmas tree. |
1881 Heritage's Christmas decoration this year. |
Symphony of Lights at the Hong Kong Harbour. |
Even late at night there are still a lot of Christmas shoppers. |
We found these waiting for us when we got back to our room. Just one of the reasons we keep coming back to the Mira!
