Enter the Bangkok Tree House.
The distinctive bamboo ceiling of Bangkok Tree House's reception and dining areas. |
The whole facility is built on stilts on the banks of the Chao Phraya river. |
The Bangkok Tree House was featured in one of the travel blogs that I read while looking for a local floating market to visit. Located in the Bang Namphueng area also known as the "lungs of Bangkok" for its lush greenery, it was just 20 minutes away from bustling Bangkok. And most importantly, was a bike ride away from the Bang Namphueng floating market. Perfect!
The big K and I were impressed by their "green" concept. Now here was an establishment with a conscience! |
The tri-level "Cozy Nests" come with the free use of their bicycles. What better way to explore the jungle of Bangkok! |
On the first level is the entry way where an open shelf, sink, shower and WC are located. |
For the more adventurous type, you can always leave the bamboo blinds raised while you shower. |
It was a bit disconcerting to use the WC with the glass floor for the first time. |
Big, comfy bed on the second level. We received a gift every day during the evening turn down service. Pictured on the bed is a planter seed, as to what kind of plant, we forgot to ask. |
At the roof deck with a view of the Chao Phraya river |
and the next door neighbor's toilet...... |
The big K and I wanted to sleep under the moon and the stars so we booked the View with a Room. |
All set up for the night.......... |
The Bangkok Tree House, the perfect getaway! |
Oh! Did I mention they have all-you-can-eat FREE ice cream during your stay?
Beautiful place but... was that really a toilet? haha! Must have been quite an experience sleeping here. And as usual, great pictures. I can't really say it enough :)

It definitely is! Peaceful too. And the toilet's real. Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase - communing with nature.
DeleteGot your new home bookmarked. Congratulations! =)
Ohhhhh.... nice! The toilet is such a "natural" idea. LOL!
ReplyDeleteGives new meaning to the phrase back to nature, doesn't it?
